About Me
My name is Passion Kameelaya (she/they) (I also go by Apsara). I am a femme queer energy worker and tantric pleasure guide that is passionate about the sensual arts, tantric dance, and guiding ceremonies of love and healing. I have been guiding sensual dance journeys, tantric flower ceremonies, and tantric movement pleasure activations journeys for the past 5 years. My work explores the interconnectedness between mysticism, ecology, eco-therapy, tantra, pleasure, eroticism, and somatic healing. I focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ community and Bl&POC.
I am Punjabi and my ancestral roots are in India and Pakistan. My practice is informed by anti-colonialism and anti-casteism. I believe it is important to look at how oppressive frameworks and intergenerational patterns can create wounding, trauma, and disconnect from pleasure. I am caste privileged and am a conspiring accomplice to caste abolition. I am committed to unpacking the ways the Brahminical patriarchy, casteism, and colonialism has shaped realities, perceptions, and relationships to pleasure, embodiment, and sexuality and reflecting on ancestral healing, accountability, and debrahmanization.
I am deeply inspired by the essence and energy of hibiscus flowers. I have worked a lot with hibiscus essence in my journey and love how they symbolize ecstatic joy, dance, and expansive bliss. Their medicine is about healing one’s connection to pleasure, sensuality, and/or sexuality. Along with Hibiscus so many other flowers inspire me such as Roses and Calendula. Flowers feel like sacred mirrors and messengers, always teaching me more about love, surrender, and trust.
I am a teacher of erotic dance and also have background in flower medicine creation, reiki, gardening, care-giving and energy healing. I have studied herbalism at Ancestral Apothecary in the Bay Area and been guided and trained by several teachers throughout my journey. Some of my teachers include Shirely Martin from the Mkm Cultural Art Center and Layla from River Rose Rememberance.
I curated and guided an erotic dance performance arts play called Hibiskiss- A River of Love, that centered queer and trans people of color's pleasure and narratives (2017-2018). For Hibiskiss, I guided a year of sensual dance, meditative journeys. I have guided tantric movement ceremonies for Heartbloom Healing, a healing circle for South Asian and SWANA people, founded by sound healer Nasha (2019-2020). I also have co-guided Ceremonies for Sultry Devotion, a Pleasure Activation Space for BI&POC spiritual practitioners, healers, & priestesses (2020).
